Product Introduction

The NT3040 Intelligent Moisture Sensor is an integrated multi-functional monitoring device that combines data acquisition, wireless communication, self-powering, and protection mechanisms. It is specifically designed for comprehensive monitoring of soil moisture, temperature, and surface tilt. Its core function is to accurately measure layered soil moisture, temperature, and surface tilt angle within a depth of 0–100 cm below the surface. It is widely applicable in intelligent monitoring scenarios across agriculture, geology, environmental science, and other fields.

Working Principle

Soil Moisture: Utilizes the FDR (Frequency Domain Reflectometry) method. Two copper rings at a fixed spacing serve as electrodes for emitting electromagnetic waves. When the moisture content of the surrounding soil changes, the frequency of the generated electromagnetic waves varies, and the change in soil moisture is calculated based on this frequency shift.

Surface Tilt: Employs a three-axis tilt sensor to measure the tilt angle of the sensor in real time, capable of detecting three-axis tilt angles, including inclination and azimuth.

Features an integrated, fully sealed tubular structure design made of high-strength, aging-resistant engineering polyurethane material. With an IP68 protection rating, it is ideal for long-term field monitoring.

*Non-Contact Measurement

The sensitive components of the sensor do not directly contact the soil, reducing interference such as soil corrosion and extending the service life.

*Scheduled + Triggered Collection

In addition to scheduled collection, it supports triggered collection. When the sensor detects tilting movement, it can trigger the collection and reporting of soil moisture data, which can be used to study the relationship between moisture content and landslide movement.

*Easy Installation, No Civil Engineering Required

The sensor housing is laser-printed with depth scales for easy alignment during installation. Using a dedicated soil drilling tool on-site, sensor installation can be completed within 15 minutes.

*More Accurate and Stable Data

The sensor can monitor moisture content within a cylindrical area of 15 cm radius and 10 cm height, offering a larger measurement range and more accurate, stable data.
